Science uncorked: subtidal Survival

  • Madrone Wine & Cider Bar 40 1st Street Friday Harbor, WA, 98250 United States (map)

Dr. Ken Sebens

The rocky subtotal zone of the Salish Sea hosts an amazingly rich biological community dominated by diverse invertebrate species and macroalgae. Over the past century, there have been changes in the biota of the region and in its physical conditions, including rising temperature and changing ocean chemistry. How has this affected the composition and functioning of these communities?

Westcott Bay Shellfish Company will join us before the talk with oysters! Limited supplies available, arrive early to snag a seat and enjoy fresh oysters!
